What does RN to BSN mean? The RN-BSN completion track is offered to registered nurses who hold an associate degree or diploma in nursing. The BSN in nursing is deigned to expand students knowledge and skills beyond the clinical aspects of practical or vocational nursing and to expand to evidence based practice, patient safety, and health informatics and technology integration and also management of health care systems and adherence to health care policies. The degree can take one and a half to three years to complete depending on the curriculum and program requirements.
